(Information for now)
Currently, John is in Australia preparing to launch a professional, non-for-profit foundation for Paralympic sports promotion worldwide.
The name of this foundation is Parasport Support.
It will be a foundation that strives to achieve ambitious goals in a businesslike manner, with genuine attention and dedication. By developing pragmatic and innovative activities, and by engaging and implementing Paralympic sports in a different way, we want to make a useful contribution for athletes and creating an added value for people with a disability.
2026-2036 Plan of action
1. Creating a strong and independent organisation with motivated employees, volunteers and partners.
2. Starting with one focus sport; Sitting volleyball. Local (Melbourne area) and international with the focus on Africa.
At the moment we are preparing to create a specific website about Parasport Support.
Below some text and photos which were use at presentations.
"It's not about making the best choice. It's about making a choice and then making the best of it."
"Creating new possibilities is much more efficient than looking for the only right answer."
A bottom-up approach rather than the usual top-down management we regularly see in international sports organisations.
Collaboration with universities: Vancouver 2010 Olympic & Paralympic winter games with sport students from the Netherlands.
Sharing experience with Tokyo 2020 organisation as candidate city.
Serious support for sport courts in Africa is still needed.
In Paralympic sport there is more possible than you think.
Short commercial with a great end.
